Re: Freedom of Information Law Request for Records

Dear Madam Clerk:

Under the provisions of the New York Freedom of Information Law, Article 6 of the Public Officers Law, I hereby request a copy of records or portions thereof pertaining to or containing the following:

I am interested in the 126 Burchard Street Property.  Specifically, I would like all the sales documents associated with the transaction where Richard G. Wohnsen became an “additional owner”.  Secondly, I would like Richard G. Wohnsen’s address.

I understand there is a fee of $.25 per page for duplication of the records requested. (If the fee exceeds $100 , please contact me before duplicating the records.)

As you know, the Freedom of Information Law requires that an agency respond to a request within five business days of receipt of a request.  If you team is currently buried under other tasks, or the Tax Assessor’s team is stretched thin, please let me know and we can work something out to benefit all.

If for any reason any portion of my request is denied, please inform me of the reasons for the denial in writing and provide the name and address of the person or body to whom an appeal should be directed.

Beltane Eve Eve and Bread Crumbs

As we arrive at Beltane Eve Eve, three things are happening.

I finally discovered that if you write the Blogs before writing the schedule, Blogs don’t get interrupted.  I know, I’m such an idiot. Only took 52 years to figure that out.

I found, thanks to a great Psychiatrist, LuVox.  If you read the previous blog, you know all that.  That only took 52 years too.

I checked my contract.  I’m not allowed to set the world on fire just because it is Beltane Eve Eve but I am allowed to write blogs that will cause people not to talk to me, might cause a visit from the police, and end in public shame for a certain someone.

Monday April 29th: On balance, Dick’s is a great place to work.  I love their customers. I just plan to steal the golfers.  However, in some ways, Dick’s does not treat their employees very well.  They had 3 weeks to address this after I left. They first reached out and then, silence.  I guess they didn’t take me seriously.

Tuesday April 30th: You know how you list an address in your tax records??  Does it have to be a residential address?? Someone who complains about transparency all the time might not be using a residential address after all.

Wednesday May 1st (Glorious Beltane  The fires are upon us):  Remember when I messed up that “limited income project” at Harbor Point??  Those were good times. Well, identity politics and compare politics are about to run into each other again.  Another waterfront property no less. Thankfully, both Compare sides were on the same side on this battle so the compare side that I like a little less can’t do anything to the compare team that I like a little more.

Thursday May 2nd: What do you do the day after Beltane??  You pay the cellphone bill for starters. Then you take a statue hostage.  Well, more like the statue’s living room part of the time.

Friday May 3rd:  Remember really early Easter morning around 4 am??  Remember how you were asleep?? Well, I wasn’t asleep.  I was out taking pictures you will see in this post. Ran into the Easter Bunny.  While he does have a “no social media” policy, he did pass along greetings. For the record, Santa has the same policy but just waves instead of saying anything.  Must be tough at the top.

Please be aware, as we discovered many times, that this is only a schedule and real events can happen.  However, I’m trying to get back to the old days where more Blogs appeared and not less.

Unintended Consequences

Here we go with another version of “The #NoHospitalDowntown crowd is not what it says it is . . . ”

Since Brett Truett has nothing else to do, he has turned his building into a Billboard.  As long as you’re from the fringe right and promise to help the No Downtown cause, he will put up your sign.  This is what he does when he is not inviting people to violate campaign finance law.

The #NoHospitalDowntown crowd will tell you that Brett and Mr. Brock just happen to be rich guys who agree with them.  They will tell you this is a grassroots effort.

If that were true, then why is the Reclaim New York sign in the window.  Funny, the Reclaim people are much better than the despicable things they sometimes stand for.  Anyone who is not a member but advertises them got there via the creepy agenda.

Reclaim tells you it is against corruption.  That is laudable and they are.  However, they are also against a lot of other things like Italian people and women choosing what’s right for their bodies.  Italians are all corrupt and Roe v. Wade is a mistake.  They will try to deny this but name the Italian they have supported at the state level.  Also think if you can name a Reclaim person who is pro-Choice.

One of the things Reclaim wants is that nasty Constitutional Convention.  As a rule, the smaller the election turnout, the more socially conservative the election result.  Two months ago, I participated in a deal that saw 3% turnout.  What will the turnout be for an off off off election day for people who want to participate in this??

The result will be moneyed interests buying up the people who go.  Some of those interests will be from the extreme right trying to hurt unions, gays, and of course, women.  Reclaim will tell you the Convention is all about anti-corruption measures – that won’t work.  What it will become is an attempt to turn the clock back where the government stands between a woman and her doctor.

You don’t believe in that.  I don’t believe in that.  Know who does??  Donald Trump.  He can pay for multiple sets of abortions, one which may have involved someone under age if you believe a court case winding its way through but your wife, mom, girlfriend, daughter, aunt, sister is not intelligent enough to make that choice.  Who do all the #NoHospitalDowntown types support in spite of his luxurious 38 approval rating??  Donald Trump.  They also support Claudia Tenney who has voted to take both your health care away and to restrict reproductive choice in other countries.

There’s that old saying in relationships – when someone shows you who they really are, believe them.  The #NoHospitalDowntown crowd has been trying to tell us for a long time now.  We should listen and reject them.

Quiz Time

See the desk over in the distance??  A certain Common Council candidate has announced he will sit at that desk for “office hours”.  Yes, it is the same desk Heath Phillips sat it when he signed the Pledge aligning himself with Trump supporters that ended his campaign for Congress.

In this case, the Common Council candidate in question commits 3 Campaign Finance Violations, count ’em 3, to be filed against him and the building owner after Election Day, each time he sits at the desk.  Can you name all 3??
